What is Virtual Reality and how is it related to Meta?

Virtual reality is the computer-generated environment with scenes and objects which appear to be real, making the user feel to be involved in that area.

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality Modelling Language(VRML) was introduced in the year 1994 to create virtual worlds without depending upon the headsets.

Facebook was launched in year 2004 and now it’s be evolved after 17 years and now given new name “meta”, which is synonymous to “more comprehensive”

Metaverse is the next evolution of social connection. In general sense we can say that it helps us to easily socialize, learn, play and collaborate and go beyond our imagination.

It is connected to virtual reality as discussed above VR is a computer-generated environment which brings a real feeling in that specific area.

All these days Facebook was the parent company of apps like Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and now meta is the parent company of all the mentioned companies.

Covid pandemic has ensconce oneself at home which made online platforms much more preferable than meeting physically or working at the office.

Meta can relate the above scenario in the upcoming 10 years as it can function as an interface to create an office environment even if at all a person is working from home which can make work more productive.

Let us understand the above statement with an example if at all we need to meet a client at say America from India physically then we can cutoff the time of travel and expenses through meta because it creates an environment where we can feel the presence of client at our place.

Meta is into many more activities liking gaming where we can create an environment and play with our friends and family from any corner of the country just what we need is a VR set.

Going through the keynote in the meta website will give you much more clarity on the features.

At last we can say that the upcoming years meta will make a better impact on everyone’s life and hopefully make the work more productive.
